Rebound: Remote jobs – KATC Lafayette News

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, studies show a steady rise in work from home opportunities.

The most popular work from home opportunities are in IT, education, customer service, writing, and project management, with a wide range of required experience.

When applying, experts say you should list any prior remote work experience, including things you have done during the pandemic and any skills that have helped you excel while working from home.

“I will say that most of the remote work jobs that we do see require a bit of experience, but what I usually tell career-changers that I’m working with is, a good amount of whatever experience they’re bringing to the table can be transferred into their new career and it’s really about how you package yourself,” explained Brie Reynolds, a senior career specialist with flexjobs.com.

The livestream will premiere in Germany and France here , later to be available on demand for 90 days. A stream will be available in the U.S. on All Arts ‘ Facebook page, premiering at 2 pm E.T. “The Paramour Session will show a completely different side of Unfollow the Rules ,” Wainwright said in a statement. “Acoustic, stripped back, sparser, but in a Rufus Wainwrightian sense of course. AI-optimized manufacturing Paper and pencil tracking, luck, significant global travel and opaque supply chains are part of today’s status quo, resulting in large amounts of wasted energy, materials and time. Accelerated in part by the long-term shutdown of international and regional travel by COVID-19, companies that design and build products will rapidly adopt cloud-based technologies to aggregate, intelligently transform, and contextually present product and process data from manufacturing lines throughout their supply chains. By 2025, this ubiquitous stream of data and the intelligent algorithms ...

B.C. food security report sparks debate on technology and agricultural land reserve – CBC.ca

Critics of a recent report from a provincial task force say it champions corporate food producers over small family farms and could put the Agricultural Land Reserve at risk. In January, the province released The Future of B.C.’s Food System , a report that recommends technology like moisture sensors, indoor growing on vertically stacked shelves and robotics to increase food production and self-reliance. The report says climate change, fewer people working in agriculture and a growing population all contribute to the need to pursue new farming methods. The Metro Vancouver Regional Planning Committee discussed the report on Friday. The chair of the region’s agriculture advisory committee, Mike Manion, said there is a need to improve efficiency on farms and help with labour shortages.  “Clearly there is a role for tech in agriculture,” Manion said to the committee.  Land reserve worries Some of the report’s recommendations include support for developing...
